Hilton Reveals the Most Anticipated 2024 Hotel Openings in Africa

With unexplored travel destinations, new memories and adventures being prioritised by travellers for 2024, Hilton has revealed some of its hottest properties set to debut next year.

From experiencing the unique and beautiful surroundings of Seychelles Platte Island to marvelling over panoramic views of Egypt – travellers will be spoiled for choice in 2024. This list showcases some of the new hotels joining the Hilton portfolio in 2024.

Canopy by Hilton Seychelles – Mahé Island, Seychelles

Located on Mahé’s Anse à la Mouche beach, famed for its calm and shallow waters, this resort is set to bring a new sense of vibrancy to the oceanfront community. The first Canopy by Hilton resort property in the world will offer 120 locally inspired guest rooms and spaces to accommodate more intimate meetings and events. Guests can enjoy exquisite dining at the resort’s two dining venues, opt for a relaxing getaway at the spa, swim laps at the pool with direct beach access, or snorkel in the resort’s crystal-clear waters. Canopy by Hilton Seychelles in a 10-minute drive from Jardin du Roi Spice Garden and a 20-minute drive from Seychelles Golf Club.

Waldorf Astoria Seychelles Platte Island  – Platte Island, Seychelles

Waldorf Astoria Seychelles Platte Island will create a new benchmark for luxury in the Indian Ocean, with the resort just over 130 kilometers south of Mahé, in a pristine atoll fringed by palm forests and migratory seabirds and turtles protected by its own lagoon and coral reef. The resort will be home to a collection of 50 seafront villas, featuring up to five-bedroom villas for unique vacation experiences, all equipped with their own private pool and personal concierge. Home to native Hawksbill turtles, eagle rays, manta rays and whale sharks, much of Platte Island’s surrounding scenery remains beautifully untouched, promising a plethora of firsts and an unrivalled sense of magic for guests.

Hilton Cairo Nile Maadi – Cairo, Egypt

Overlooking the River Nile, Hilton Cairo Nile Maadi will be located within five kilometres of Cairo’s most popular attractions, including the Church of the Virgin Mary, Hanging Church, the Museum of Egyptian Civilization, and the Coptic Museum. Cairo International Airport CAI is 28 kilometres away. The hotel will offer several restaurants and bars, a full-service spa, an outdoor pool, and a fitness centre.

Hampton by Hilton Grayston Sandton – Sandton, South Africa

Conveniently located in Johannesburg’s bustling business district near the Johannesburg Stock Exchange, this hotel is also within two kilometers of Nelson Mandela Square, Sandton City Mall and Sandton Guatrain Station, all reachable with the hotel’s complimentary scheduled shuttles. The property also features a family-friendly outdoor pool, floodlit tennis courts, a fitness center and on-site restaurant to complete your stay.
