Gallivant Africa continues to do its part in supporting Africa’s wild travel industry through an initiative to keep spirits up as everyone practices social distancing with a new Instagram Live show called, “GallivantLive”.
Many people work behind the scenes to provide an outstanding experience for domestic and international travellers alike. Like countless industries hard-hit by the pandemic, Africa’s travel industry is no exception. Gallivant Live is an opportunity for fans and followers to get to know the people who are working tirelessly to welcome travellers back to the destination!
The 30min interview, hosted live on Gallivant Africa’s Instagram page will be a hilarious conversation about life, travel and what’s next after COVID-19. It could be cheesy, catchy but there is plenty to hope for as the conversation is a light-hearted look the future of travel in Africa.
The Host
Gallivant Live will be hosted every Monday, Wednesday and Friday throughout the month of May by travel writer and Gallivant Africa’s resident coffee drinker, Miriro Matema. Passionate about Africa’s development and having a heart for travel, Miriro spends her time discovering the nooks of crannies of Africa’s least explored destinations, meeting the beautiful people that call Africa home while analysing the future of Africa’s dynamic travel industry. Other than being a writer and radio host with Gallivant Africa, she is also a Travel Massive Johannesburg Chapter Leader and speaker at World Travel Market Africa.
