Nairobi Selected as the Host City for the Africa Youth Tourism Summit

The summit will be hosted by Tourism Events Advisory and Management Services Africa (TEAMS Africa), a partnership of renowned tourism industry experts Håvar Bauck and Barry Clemens.

This prestigious Pan-African event targets to promote and uplift innovative entrepreneurs within the tourism sector across the continent.

“Tourism Events Advisory and Management Services Africa (TEAMS Africa), will host the upcoming summits in Nairobi. The exact dates and venue for the 2025 Summit will be announced later this month,” TEAMS Africa stated.

Africa Tourism Partners, led by seasoned travel industry expert Kwakye Donkor, revealed that the event plans to host 800 participants in 2025.

He added that the summit will provide a platform for innovators and entrepreneurs to network, learn, and collaborate.

“The Africa Youth in Tourism Innovation Summit and Challenge is a beacon for the untapped potential of our continent’s youth. We are delighted to bring AYTIS to Nairobi in partnership with TEAMS Africa. It is a city that mirrors the innovation and dynamism we strive to promote, and this partnership amplifies our shared commitment to youth empowerment and innovation in the tourism sector,” said Donkor.

He added, “By joining forces, we can harness the untapped potential of young entrepreneurs and drive a transformative agenda that will not only reshape the future of tourism in Africa but also stimulate sustainable economic growth across the continent. Together, we are poised to redefine African tourism.”

The announcement follows the successful 2024 AYTIS held in Windhoek, Namibia, which attracted over 500 delegates.
