The weekend of 25 to 27June is an unmissable opportunity to join Craig Hinds, acclaimed vocalist and songwriter for Watershed, solo and in collaboration with the GATE String Quartet. The venue? Shawari’s sumptuous Long Lee Manor, and the heart of the bush, surrounded by the African Big Five.
Joe Cloete, Shamwari chief executive officer says, “We’ve planned a fabulous weekend for a select number of guests: It starts on the Friday evening with the GATE String Quartet serenading our gin sundowners during a game-drive.
“Then on Saturday evening, Craig Hinds hosts our guests in the boma at Long Lee Manor. And on Sunday, we’ll have brunch poolside at Long Lee Manor with performances by the quartet collaborating with Craig.”
Cloete says every aspect of the experience is being meticulously planned to be an unforgettable experience: “This is unsurpassed hospitality and attention to detail in South Africa’s ecologically and culturally significant, malaria-free Eastern Cape province.”
In addition, the event will contribute to Shamwari’s ongoing programme of support to local communities which was implemented during the initial Covid-19 lockdown.
The Safari Unplugged will take place from Friday 25 until Sunday 27 June. The cost is R4, 950 per person sharing. Guests may choose to arrive on Thursday 24 June or check out on Monday 28 June.
